Aussie TikTok star left ‘hyperventilating and sobbing’ after accidentally spending $10,000 on VIP Taylor Swift tickets using her dad’s American Express card: ‘I’m a moron’
Taylor Swift is set to bring her Eras Tour Down Under in 2024 and tickets have quickly sold out across the country as almost a million fans rushed to snap up seats.
And on Thursday, Aussie influencer Georgia Rose revealed she was left red-faced after accidentally purchasing multiple tickets at once, to the cost of $10,000.
‘If you tried for tickets in the AMEX presale you know it was a crazy morning as the site crashed,’ she said in a TikTok video.
The brunette explained that she had the Amex site open on four different tabs to maximise her chances of scoring tickets – but didn’t count on the sale going through four times.
‘I am a moron. I had four windows open as I was not expecting to get tickets in any of them.’

‘I go through the next steps and then click check out and as the wheel is spinning to process the order I look in the background and it says $10,000.’
She quickly realised she had accidentally purchased eight VIP packages and said her father immediately called her to ask why his credit card had been charged the jaw-dropping sum.
Fortunately, they were not out of pocket as they were able to sell the additional tickets to family members at face value.
Swift will be performing four concerts in Sydney and three in Melbourne next year.
