Olivia Rodrigo is not frightened of the glowing skin of a killer. The pop-punk princess has escaped the Substantial School Musical: The Musical: The Sequence tower she was trapped in and designed the extended two-calendar year odyssey back again to strike-producing. In a go that is probable to upset the Volturi, Rodrigo has returned to radio airwaves with her single “vampire,” a music that may perhaps or may not be focused (probably the latter) to Twilight’s Edward Cullen since she’s the most noteworthy member of Staff Edward. The new monitor appears to be particularly directed towards an unfortunate former acquaintance of Olivia’s, who’s now observed them selves on the completely wrong close of her pen: “Bloodsucker, fame-fucker / bleeding me dry like a god damn vampire,” she suggests on the hook. In a write-up coinciding with the song’s launch, Rodrigo reported that building “vampire” aided her “sort via plenty of inner thoughts of regret, anger, and heartache,” adding that it’s one of her favourite tracks on her forthcoming sophomore album, Guts.
Rodrigo wrote the tune with producer Daniel Nigro, who collaborated with the Disney star on her previous album, Bitter. “‘vampire’ is the audio of an artist firmly in manage, imbued with a perception of maturity and a bold self confidence,” per the press release. “With ‘vampire,’ she is poised to start off an thrilling new chapter.” Suitable, but that doesn’t reply the burning question: Is she Bella Swan, or?
