Louis Theroux ‘will interview a huge Glastonbury star during the second series of his BBC show’ after watching their set at the weekend
He is one of Britain’s most renowned TV presenters and podcasters and Louis Theroux‘s BBC interview series is on its way back for a second series.
It has been reported that pop sensation Raye, 25, will be Louis’s first guest for the new series, revealing why the 53-year-old was pictured watching the singers Glastonbury set from backstage at the weekend.
The famous broadcaster was spotted waiting in the wings during Raye’s performance, wearing a pair of faded black jeans and a blue shirt.
Louis’ appearance now makes more sense as it is likely that his attendance was linked to the upcoming interview, and will possibly even feature on the show.
A source told The Sun: ‘Louis isn’t just interested in big name movie actors or elite sportsmen, he likes someone with major life experiences to explore.

Raye has previously opened up about her history with substance abuse and sexual abuse, including an incident with a record producer in the industry.
They added: ‘And Raye, who has been incredibly honest about her own past life, certainly fits that bill, which is why he was so keen to sign her up for the new series.
‘But she’s also a musician, which is a big draw for Louis as he’s a man who loves his music and he certainly has eclectic tastes.’
Louis confirmed that a second series of his popular BBC programme was coming back in November of last year after the first season’s success.
Raye broke down in tears during her performance at the festival on Saturday as she lost her composure while the crowd continued singing back to her.
The singer managed to control her emotions before sending air kisses to the audience before restarting her performance.
The 25-year-old looked gorgeous as she performed in a one-shoulder black cut-out midi dress from Off-White with her red hair in neat curls.
She accessorized the look with huge hooped silver earrings, silver bracelets and funky black and white patterned nails.

Raye thanked her 793k followers over on Instagram for the support of her fans, her team and Off-White for her dress.
She wrote ‘ How can I ever recover, 60,000 people came to watch us at Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage, followed by our surprise set at the BBC Introducing stage which was somehow just as magical….GOD IS GOOD’.
Louis’ series will return after a successful first series which saw him interview singer and Masked Singer judge Rita Ora, Academy award-winning actress Dame Judi Dench, rapper Stormzy, comedian Katherine Ryan and young rockstar Yungblud.
It was reported earlier this year that boxer Anthony Joshua will also feature in the line-up of celebrities in the new series.
Back in November the journalist revealed Elon Musk was on his bucket list to interview after he took to Twitter to share his interest in having the Tesla CEO on the show.
He tweeted: ‘@elonmusk I’ve been commissioned for a second series of my BBC interviews. Follow me back and DM me pls.’
He also directed the same question at former President Donald Trump.
