The 2023 TRIC Awards welcomed a host of Britain’s best known TV stars to Park Lane’s Grosvenor House on Tuesday but the cast of the crisis-embroiled This Morning avoided the ceremony.
Holly Willoughby has previously attended the star-studded awards do but will not be attending – even though the show is up for the Daytime award.
A source told MailOnline she had ‘prior commitments’ but no doubt she didn’t want to risk an awkward run in with Eamonn Holmes who was in attendance and has been vocal with his criticism of her following the departure of her co-presenter Phillip Schofield.
The broadcaster, 63, who hosted This Morning alongside his wife Ruth Langsford, hasn’t held back from speaking his mind after working for ITV – following Schofield’s confession of an affair with a much younger colleague.

Eamonn is nominated in the News Presenter category while Holly’s show This Morning is up for the Daytime gong.
This Morning, now hosted by Holly and a rotation of guest presenters following Schofield’s exit, competes against A Place In The Sun, Escape To The Country and Father Brown.
GB News Breakfast presenter Eamonn meanwhile is up against Nigel Farage, Piers Morgan, Stephen Dixon and Susanna Reid.
The Television and Radio Industries Club hosted its annual awards do with Judi Love and Rob Rinder on hosting duties and more than 1,000 invited guests in attendance.
The TRIC Awards recognise the very best TV, radio and online shows, as well as Britain’s most-loved stars and talent, with the winners decided by the public and industry vote.
Call the Midwife, Doc Martin, Peaky Blinders and Death in Paradise are set to battle it out in the best Drama category.
Meanwhile I’m A Celeb, Strictly Come Dancing are two of the competitors in the Entertainment category.
Speaking of the event and the nominees, TRIC Chair, Daniel Todaro, said: ‘What makes the TRIC Awards so special is that it’s the public who gets to choose who wins a coveted TRIC Award and hold a place in history alongside those who have won in our 54 year history.
