A fan-recorded video has highlighted the extreme efforts of a security guard to protect Taylor Swift during her shows.
Taken at her recent concert in Zurich, Switzerland amid the US pop star’s mammoth tour across Europe, a male guard could be seen tailing Swift each time she moved positions across the nearly 250-foot stage.
With his eyes firmly fixed on the crowd, the security guard didn’t look up at Swift once during the video, which was uploaded to TikTok, but still managed to move in-line with her, suggesting he has her choreography direction memorized or is being fed information via an earpiece.
One user wrote on X, “I’ve never noticed that her security guard follows her around on stage like that.”
“Taysafety is paramount,” another added.
Another fan said they witnessed the same guard at one of Swift’s other shows.
“I was front row for my show and he literally RUNS to keep up with her. It’s incredible the work that her security is doing for the entirety of her show,” they said.
“His intense, concentration and observation, wild,” another viewer wrote on the video.
Another chimed in, “Her body guard don’t play and we love him for that!”
As one of the most famous people in the world right now, Swift is never without her security pack in tow.
The “Cruel Summer” singer and her boyfriend, NFL player Travis Kelce, were seen enjoying themselves at Coachella in April, dancing away in a crowd of thousands.
As multiple videos of the pair hit social media, many commenters asked why crowd-goers around them appeared “bored” and weren’t “dancing.”
Of course, they weren’t actually punters.
Rather, Swift was surrounded by a heavy security team taking their job very seriously.
Previously, Kansas City Chiefs Chairman Clark Hunt said there were rigid protocols in place to ensure Swift’s safety at NFL games during her numerous outings to support Kelce towards the end of 2023 and into this year.
“Obviously, anywhere she goes is a security issue,” Hunt said.
“It’s something that we’ve helped her security team handle when she comes to games in Kansas City and I know the visiting teams that we’ve played this year where she’s shown up have had to do the same thing.
“She has a really talented security team. They liaise with our security team, and we make sure we get her into and out of the stadium safely.”
