Yankees legend Derek Jeter manufactured his Fox debut as an MLB analyst Saturday afternoon in the course of the Cardinals vs. Cubs showcase from England.
For the London Collection, Jeter was flanked by host Kevin Burkhardt as effectively ex-teammate Alex Rodriguez and former Pink Sox star David “Big Papi” Ortiz.
All through the write-up-sport telecast, Ortiz took the historic New York–Boston rivalry to another degree when he offered the Yankees’ 5-time Planet Collection winner with a Red Sox jersey embroidered with Jeter’s identify and his well-known No. 2 on the back again.
Jeter’s reaction was to right away toss the jersey on the ground in utter disgust.
“C’mon male, it was a gift,” Ortiz exclaimed.
Jeter jokingly responded with, “It’s been a wonderful time shelling out time with you men here. You will not see me any more. This is my final day at Fox.”

In the pregame, Jeter chided Ortiz in response to a dilemma from Burkhardt about where sitting down next to his previous AL East rival rated in his job, the two on and off the discipline.
“This is ideal there at the bottom fellas,” Jeter jokingly responded. “It does not get any worse than this. No, in all honesty, I’ve relished acquiring to know Papi. I have regarded him naturally taking part in from him, but receiving to know him the last couple times here in London, which I’m sure we’ll see a minimal little bit of later on, it is been awesome. I couldn’t hold out for this to start, and I’m wanting ahead to it.”
Papi would later mockingly present Jeter with a gold crown.
