Shake it off, Swifties.
Taylor Swift has officially revealed when her history-making Eras Tour will end. The musician made the announcement during the tourâs 100th show in Liverpool, England, Thursday.
âThis is the very first time Iâve ever acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end in December,â she said, per USA Today.
She reportedly confirmed the news during her âAll Too Wellâ speech before the 10-minute song.
âI once used to have hobbies,â she joked to the crowd at the concert.
âYou have done so much to be with us,â she continued. âYouâve made plans so far in advance. You planned what you were going to wear. You memorized lyrics. You got yourself here. You figured out parking. You figured out transportation, and I want spend the 100th show just thinking about that and living in that moment and being here with you, and just know I appreciate every single ounce of effort that you put in to be with us when this show reaches triple digits in shows. So thank you!â
Swift, 34, kicked off her sold-out tour in Arizona on March 17, 2023. Itâs since become the highest-grossing tour of all-time after surpassing $1 billion in revenue.
The Eras Tour even had a theatrical run in the fall, when Swift released a concert film in October 2023 that grossed an additional $261.6 million worldwide.
Two months earlier, she added 15 dates for her North America leg, including a six-night stint in Canada. âTurns out itâs NOT the end of an era Miami, New Orleans, Indy and Toronto: The Eras Tour is coming to you in 2024,â she tweeted at the time.
Swift kicked off 2024 by performing in Tokyo, Australia and Singapore. She then took a two-month break â and dropped her 11th studio album, âThe Tortured Poets Departmentâ â before resuming her shows in Paris in May.
In a span of two years, Swiftâs split from British actor Joe Alwyn went public after six years together, she began dating Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce in September 2023, was named Time magazineâs 2023 Person of the Year, dropped âTTPD,â won Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards for âMidnightsâ (breaking a record for securing her fourth win in the category) and released her concert film âTaylor Swift | The Eras Tour.â
She also was officially declared a billionaire. Forbes released its 2024 Worldâs Billionaires List in April, and she made the cut for the very first time with an estimated fortune of $1.1 billion â thanks in large part to the tour.
Swiftâs three-hour Eras Tour set covers 11 albums, 44 songs, and is chockfull of costume changes and large-scale production swaps. She also overhauled her looks and setlist when she introduced songs from âTTPD.â
