“The Morning Show” is saying goodnight to just one of its major stars.
Julianna Margulies is not returning to the Apple Television+ series for Time 4, Wide variety claimed on Monday.
Though Margulies, 58, made controversial remarks previous calendar year about the Israel-Hamas war, resources reported that the selection around her exit “was designed just before the controversy.”
The Emmy winner reportedly turned down appearing in a person episode of Time 4, while she’s “been asked” about coming back again for a likely fifth year.

Margulies joined “The Early morning Show” in Time 2 as news anchor Laura Peterson.

“As someone who plays a lesbian journalist on ‘The Morning Present,’ I am extra offended by it as a lesbian than I am as a Jew,” she stated.
“The Excellent Wife” star also criticized African-Us residents supporting Palestine, saying, “The fact that the full black local community is not standing with us to me claims either they just really do not know, or they’ve been brainwashed to detest Jews.”
Margulies been given swift backlash on the internet for her remarks. Folks on X, previously known as Twitter, slammed her remarks as an “unhinged rant” and identified as her, “a racist and homophobic pos.”
She later issued an apology. “I am horrified by the simple fact that statements I designed on a modern podcast offended the Black and LGBTQIA+ communities, communities I genuinely adore and respect,” Margulies said in a statement to Deadline.
“I want to be 100% crystal clear: Racism, homophobia, sexism, or any prejudice versus anyone’s private beliefs or identification are abhorrent to me, entire prevent,” she continued. “Throughout my career I have labored tirelessly to battle detest of all variety, close antisemitism, converse out against terrorist groups like Hamas, and forge a united entrance against discrimination. I did not intend for my words and phrases to sow additional division, for which I am sincerely apologetic.”
Right after signing up for “The Early morning Show” in 2021, Margulies talked about currently being a straight woman who plays a gay character on television.
“I am an actress, and I am intended to embody another character. No matter what their sexuality is doesn’t make a difference to me, the exact way watching a homosexual particular person perform a straight man or woman. Are you telling me that since I’m a mom that I can hardly ever engage in a female who has under no circumstances had a youngster?
