Diane von Furstenberg reveals in her upcoming documentary, “Diane von Furstenberg: Girl in Demand,” that she turned down having a threesome with Mick Jagger and David Bowie back in the day.
In accordance to the Hollywood Reporter, she viewed as it, contemplating: “‘Well this is one thing I can inform my grandchildren about.’”
“Obviously she informed them in any case.”
Per the review, the documentary then cuts to von Furstenberg’s “grown granddaughter saying that turning these two down at the top of their fame was a ‘really epic’ move.”
Von Furstenberg’s documentary premiered at the Tribeca Movie Festival on June 5. It debuts on Hulu June 25.
In it, the Belgian vogue designer talks about splitting from spouse Prince Egon von Furstenberg of Germany in 1983 just after 14 years of marriage.
“Divorce for me was flexibility,” she states in the doc, for every THR.
Von Furstenberg also looks back on partying at the legendary New York Town nightclub Studio 54 when she grew to become solitary.
“I was with Warren Beatty and Ryan O’Neal on the similar weekend,” she recollects.
She provides, “I was acquiring a man’s everyday living in a woman’s system.”
Von Furstenberg and Prince Egon had two small children, Alexander and Tatiana, in the course of their marriage.
They divorced in 1983 and Prince Egon died 21 a long time later of AIDS.
Von Furstenberg married American medial mogul Barry Diller in 2001.
She has 5 grandchildren from her initial marriage.
The documentary about von Furstenberg was directed by Oscar winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Trish Dalton.
In the trailer for the doc, von Furstenberg presents herself praise for her achievements in the vogue marketplace.
“The journey of my personal daily life has been extraordinary. I was in demand of my destiny. I became the girl I wanted to be,” she says.
There are also appearances by Hillary Clinton, Anderson Cooper, Fran Lebowitz and Oprah Winfrey, who weigh in on von Furstenberg’s achievements.
“My part is just aiding to encourage girls,” von Furstenberg says in the trailer. “The only location to uncover your power is by getting real to your self.”
As for Diller, von Furstenberg claims her spouse “is the reliable really like in my lifestyle.”
Von Furstenberg also talks about building the iconic wrap costume in the documentary.
