Charlie Colin, a bassist and founding member of the rock group Educate, has died. He was 58.
Colin’s sister Carolyn Stephens confirmed his death to the Associated Push. No trigger of demise was provided, but TMZ reported that Colin died just after slipping and slipping in the shower.
Teach wrote an Instagram post confirming his loss of life. “He was THE sweetest person and what a handsome chap,” the band explained. “Let’s make a band that is the only realistic matter to do. Colin, a native of Newport Beach, attended the Berklee College or university of New music in Boston. Right after Colin reconnected with previous bandmates Jimmy Stafford and Rob Hotchkiss in San Francisco, they fashioned Practice with singer Pat Monahan and drummer Scott Underwood in the ‘90s.

Colin performed on Train’s initially 3 albums — 1998’s self-titled LP, 2001’s “Drops of Jupiter” and 2003’s “My Private Country.” He left the band in 2003, reportedly due to material abuse challenges.
Monahan stated in a 2017 job interview that “Charlie is one particular extraordinary bass participant, but he was in a lot of suffering, and the way he was working with it was incredibly unpleasant for anyone else all-around him.”
Colin also served as musical director for the Newport Seaside Movie Pageant. The festival’s co-founder Todd Quartararo said in a statement to the Linked Push that “Charlie was a exclusive portion of the Newport Seaside Movie Pageant relatives. His coronary heart, compassion and creative imagination will undoubtedly be skipped.”
Colin is survived by his parents, sister and a niece.
