A leading advisor to independent presidential prospect Robert F. Kennedy Jr. reported she is stepping down from her position, citing an “increasingly hateful and divisive ambiance.”
Angela Stanton King, a previous Trump supporter and Republican Residence prospect who served as Kennedy’s advisor for Black outreach considering that becoming a member of the campaign past 12 months, introduced her decision in a publish on X late Tuesday.
“Immediately after significantly reflection, I have determined to step absent from the political theatre. The progressively hateful and divisive environment no longer aligns with my values,” Stanton King wrote.
“I will go on to recommend RFK, Jr. on crucial neighborhood concerns. Now, it really is time for me to pursue peace and fully dedicate myself to my nonprofit perform, supporting pregnant girls and returning citizens. This new chapter excites me, as I target on making a tangible difference where by it is desired most,” she added.
It is unclear whether Stanton King was referencing the “ambiance” of the Kennedy campaign when saying her intention to step down, and a spokesperson for Kennedy did not reply to Fox Information Digital’s request for comment.
Other information retailers noted that Stanton King remaining the marketing campaign, which appeared to prompt a response from her in one more social media article on Wednesday.
