Pakistan is facing rising inflation, the impact of which is now being felt on their roads as well. People’s anger has erupted against the government due to rising inflation in PoK. Protests are taking place at various places, clashes with the police and incidents of stone pelting have come to light. However, the big deal is that the Indian tricolor is also being seen in these demonstrations taking place in PoK. Let us tell you that the Joint Awami Action Committee called for a protest outside the Assembly of PoK against inflation in PoK on 11th May i.e. Saturday.
After which Section 144 has been implemented in PoK. So that people do not leave the house. Due to this, the anger of the local people broke out on Friday itself and a large number of people took to the streets in areas like the capital Muzaffarabad, Mirpur and Dadial. PoK and Indian national flags were seen in the hands of the crowd.
People are angry with rising inflation in PoK and protests are taking place in PoK against inflation. Prices of petrol, diesel and other essential commodities are skyrocketing. Food is also imported from China. Due to which the committee announced to hold demonstrations in the state.
Protests were planned for Saturday (May 11) over taxes and rising prices imposed by Pakistan, but the deployment of additional forces and the arrest of 70 activists angered people and they took to the streets on Friday. The protesters allegedly pelted stones at the security personnel and clashed with them.
According to Pakistani media, the police have detained seventy activists to stop the ‘long march’ announced by the Jammu-Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee. According to media reports, police also fired tear gas shells to disperse the protesting crowd, some of which fell into a nearby school and injured several girls.
According to a report by a private news channel, troops of Front Corps, Rangers and Quick Response Force (QRF) of Punjab province are currently on the roads of the area. Early on Thursday morning, police in Muzaffarabad raided the house of business leader Shaukat Nawaz Mir as well as several other members of the Action Committee.
