Rep. Virginia Foxx, R-N.C., the chairwoman of the House Training and Workforce Committee, sent a letter to Northwestern University leaders on Friday, demanding responses on an agreement reached with anti-Israel agitators.
In the letter, Foxx announces her committee has opened an investigation into the university’s “response to antisemitism and its failure to guard Jewish learners.” She needs documents and communications about the encampment and alleged antisemitic incidents that have taken spot at Northwestern since the Oct. 7 attack on Israel, in addition to other elements.
“I have grave concerns pertaining to Northwestern’s persistent failure in addressing antisemitism,” Foxx writes.
The letter arrives immediately after Northwestern’s top rated administrators — which includes President Michael Schill — have faced powerful criticism in excess of an arrangement with student protesters to end an unlawful encampment on campus.

The letter notes at least seven other examples of alleged antisemitic incidents at Northwestern that took location ahead of the encampment and at minimum 13 that transpired considering the fact that April 25.
