Rep. Jared Moskowitz, D-Fla., found himself in incredibly hot h2o Monday soon after he was accused of perpetuating a racist stereotype about Asians in a now-deleted write-up on X.
The put up had been in reaction to a CBS Mornings’ job interview with South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, discussing her request to take away an excerpt from her forthcoming guide, “No Heading Again,” about supposedly assembly North Korean chief Kim Jong Un.
The Republican governor, who is rumored to be a potential vice president pick for Donald Trump, told the interviewers she “really should not have” bundled that anecdote in the guide, and refused to remedy directly regardless of whether the conference experienced in simple fact taken spot.

Weighing in on the controversy, Moskowitz responded in a submit on X: “Why am I having the emotion that she preferred to eat pet with Kim Jong Un.”
Moskowitz deleted the article immediately after some backlash.

Politico reporter Nicholas Wu wrote that Moskowitz’s tweet utilized a stereotype about Asians and puppies.
In response, Moskowitz wrote that he had “large regard for Nick as a amazing journalist.”
“I designed a joke about 2 precise individuals. No one particular else,” Moskowitz wrote. “On the other hand, I would never ever want to be insensitive and feed into a stereotype. He referred to as me out, deserved.”
Moskowitz deleted one more submit on X in March involving an edited picture of President Biden.
