American Idol contestant Will Moseley has been branded ‘disgusting’ over a horrifying hunting video showing four dogs being set on a terrified wild hog.
Georgia-born Moseley, 23, who is a Top 8 finalist on the current season of Idol, was slammed after a 2022 Instagram video resurfaced showing him hunting a hog which had been trapped in a river bed.
In the disturbing clip, four dogs attack the shaking hog, biting it as it attempts to defend itself.
Moseley also shared a photo of him, his dad and girlfriend smiling while posing with a dead hog, which appears to be the same animal in the video.
He captioned the post: ‘Those good ol’ January Swims.’

Fans quickly took to the comment section to lambast Moseley’s cruel actions. with one writing: ‘Disgusting abuse of animals. I was a fan… for about 30 minutes until I saw this.’
Others wrote: ‘This is the most horrific thing I’ve ever seen. Saw you on @americanidol tonight but not sure I can be a fan of this’.
‘I hope u don’t win-this is disgusting’ and ‘Agreed!! Lost a fan. Sickening.’
Per Georgia hunting legislation, wild hogs can be hunted on private lands if you have permission, as well as on public lands like National Forest Lands and Wildlife Management Areas.
A representative for the Georgia Dept. of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Division told TMZ: ‘Hunting feral hogs — an invasive species — is allowed on private lands and, where and when designated, some public lands in Georgia.
‘Where designated, dogs can be used in hunting feral hogs. There are no restrictions on that use except on public lands.’
Moseley’s social media is littered with him and his loved ones posing with dead animals they have hunted.
On Sunday Moseley secured his spot in the top 8 after performing Modern Day Bonnie and Clyde by Travis Tritt.

Last week Moseley from Hazlehurst, Georgia, picked the Chris Stapleton hit Starting Over.
Meghan Trainor gave him a couple critiques in rehearsals and encouraged him to smile more.
