Patti Newton has documented the emotional moment she posed alongside a wax figure of her late husband Bert Newton, two years after his death.
The 79-year-old stopped by Madame Tussauds in Sydney with two of her grandchildren on Tuesday and shared a video of them posing with Bert’s eerily lifelike figure.
‘To see my darling Bert at Madame Tussaud’s Sydney was overwhelming and very emotional for us all,’ she began her caption.
‘He looked wonderful and we loved seeing him. Xx’.
Patti’s fans were thrilled by the heartwarming display, with one commenting: ‘This is the best !!! What a tribute to an amazing talented man’.

‘How awesome for you and your family Patti,’ another wrote, as someone added: ‘Wonderful! I can only imagine how overwhelmed you would be!’
It comes after the veteran thespian revealed the heartwarming memento she always takes on stage to remember her late husband, to whom she was married for 46 years before his death in 2021.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia in January, Patti said she always wears a diamond-encrusted necklace in honour of her beloved husband.

‘It’s a bit of a secret, but [it says] Bert, and he travels everywhere with me,’ she said, as she flashed the statement piece tucked into the collar of her dress.
‘I love it. I feel as though he’s with me. I have quite a few things that I have on me that belonged to Bert.
‘He’ll always be part of me,’ she added.

Bert passed away in October 2021.
He had been receiving palliative care at a clinic in Melbourne at the time of his death.
Bert was hospitalised in March that year and underwent surgery on his leg in May after his toe became infected before Christmas.

The infection was ‘linked to his diabetes’ and was threatening his life, with doctors telling him the surgery was a ‘life or death decision’.
Doctors told Bert that if he kept the leg then he would have just ‘months to live’ rather than years if he chose to amputate.
He is survived by children Matt and Lauren, and grandchildren Sam, Eva, Lola, Monty, Perla and Alby.
