President Joe Biden has touted a offer with Samsung to create new semiconductor chip crops in Texas.

The Biden administration arrived at an arrangement to give up to $6.4 billion in funding to the South Korean tech big to construct facilities in the state.

“This announcement, will unleash in excess of $40 billion in financial commitment from Samsung, and cement central Texas’s part as a point out-of-the-artwork semiconductor ecosystem, developing at least 21,500 positions and leveraging up to $40 million in CHIPS funding to educate and develop the nearby workforce,” Biden explained in a statement on Monday.
