Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Hold Hands at Breakthrough Prize Ceremony

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom stepped out in all black for a crimson carpet date night time at the Breakthrough Prize Ceremony on Saturday, April 13.

Perry, 39, and Bloom, 47, were being photographed on the purple carpet at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles though heading into the 10th annual Breakthrough Prize Ceremony. An eyewitness tells Us Weekly that the pair held hands for the entirety of the carpet and chatted with Edward Norton and his wife, Shauna Robertson.

Perry shocked in a stylish black off-the-shoulder costume with a sculpted bodice and a bell skirt, which she paired with a smaller, metallic bag and black sneakers. Bloom’s ensemble complemented hers with a common black tuxedo and a white shirt beneath.

The Breakthrough Prize is the world’s biggest prize in science, according to the organization’s web site, and acknowledges the prime researchers in the world who are operating in the fundamental sciences.
