As networks make selections about their programming, Us Weekly will continue on to monitor what has been renewed and which Television displays have been canceled.
Slow Horses was the initial demonstrate to score a renewal in 2024. In early January, Apple Tv set+ picked up the sequence for a fifth period, which will be based on Mick Herron’s spy novel London Policies.
The series, which premiered in 2022, follows a dysfunctional team of British intelligence brokers who have been assigned to paper-pushing tasks at the Slough Home. Slow Horses stars Gary Oldman, Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden and Christopher Chung.
Minx, in the meantime, did not have the identical luck when it was canceled for a 2nd time. In May perhaps 2022, Max renewed Minx for a 2nd season but reversed the determination by the end of the calendar year.
Starz picked the exhibit up — with year 2 premiering in July 2023 — but passed on ordering a 3rd year. Just before the cancellation was confirmed in January, Jake Johnson hinted that he did not assume very good news.
“By evidence of me cutting my hair small, I never [expect a renewal],” Johnson instructed Deadline in December 2023, contacting the series’ fate “unfortunate” for the reason that “there was a large amount to that display.”
“I believe the transfer to Starz — I believe HBO form of carrying out their HBO issue or HBO Max, regardless of what it is identified as now — I imagine that was brutal for [the show],” he included. “Then, I assume the strike coming out ideal as we have been striving to encourage it. … My guess is you just can’t beat something up that quite a few periods and preserve going.”
